It has been a little over one year since I started printing my photographs digitally. They are reproduced with an Epson 1270 Inkjet printer on matte paper and have a life of 20 to 25 years if viewed under glass. Precautions such as keeping prints out of sunlight and extreme temperature changes should be observed. This is approximately the same time frame as most traditional color processes.
The images on the website were photographed with film, usually transparencies, sometimes negative material, and scanned to produce a digital file. While “magic “can be performed, images viewed here were cleaned up, dust and scratches removed, dodging and burning performed, as well as color correction, just as in traditional printing. Debris, such as paper or litter on an urban street will be removed.

Unless obvious; mountains or pyramids are not moved. The picture you order is the reality at the time (I don’t move landmarks as National Geographic Magazine did several years ago)

Well, occasionally.

I personally like small images, such as 5x7 matted 11x14. I feel small pictures make you "look" rather than glance.

Notes on prints and ordering

•Prints will vary from the way they look on your screen. The color temperature and sharpness of monitors vary immensly. The screen is like viewing a transparency, and the vibrancy on a screen cannot be reproduced by inks or dyes on paper.

•Images have been cropped for optimum impact, and are not always standard dimensions, such as 5x7 or 8x10 inches. In many cases they do fit perfectly into pre-cut mattes and can be printed to fit precisely.

•Contact me about other sizes, printing on specialty paper, such as linen or watercolor stock.
Prints may also be printed on Fuji Crystal Archive Paper, this high quality paper is estimated to have a life of 50-60 years before appreciable fading. Call for pricing.

•Orders will generally ship within one weeks time.

•Each image has an order code beneath it (eg: #HA11) please include it in your email.
